Alison and David were going out of town to North Carolina for a week for their friend Molly's wedding. They decided to fly into Raleigh (where Alison attended school) and then drive to Asheville for a day, then Highlands for the wedding. They drove to Asheville on that Monday (the 16th of August) to tour the Biltmore since David had never been there. They had a great hotel across the street from the hotel, The Grand Bohemian. After dinner that night, David said he had a surprise. Since David usually never has surprises, Alison thought he was just making something up. David blindfolded Alison and to her surprise when the blindfold came off the entire room had tea light candles lit around the room. David told Alison how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but the only thing missing was a ring. Of course, Alison told him he could not propose without a ring. David told Alison that the ring was under the pillow, but she still didn't believe him. So he pulled the ring out from under the pillow and got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. Of course she said yes!
We met for their portrait session at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club and captured beautiful images with the trees, the boats and the club itself. We cannot wait for their wedding at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club next year!
