Miami-Based Event Furnishings Division Picks up Esteemed TSE 2011 Gala Awards Nomination!
November 11, 2010. Miami, FL. After a grueling waiting period, it's official: Room Service, an AFR Event Furnishings Company, has been named a "finalist" in the Best Achievement in Event Rental Support category for the 2011 Special Event Gala Awards, one of the special event industries most prestigious honors.
"Dinner en Rouge", the event done for Grand Marnier's product launch was held in Miami during the South Beach Wine & Food Festival this past February. Spearheaded by account executive Mandy Diaz, the event was everything the client could have wanted - and more. Elegant, understated, visually stunning, and branded in Grand Marnier's signature color, red - Diaz oversaw the creation of custom furniture, accessories, and installation of the job. Her unwavering drive for continued excellence is what made it so spectacular.
Photographed by Limelight Photography, the event was captured so artistically that the images perpetuated the intrinsic beauty. Working closely with Diaz, Shari Lynn Rothstein of SLK Creative wrote and submitted the award to the judging committee. Diaz and Rothstein spoke for hours, leaving no detail untouched. And it paid off.
This is the very first gala nomination for Room Service, an AFR Event Furnishings Company, and they are elated. "It is such an honor to be nominated for a gala," Diaz says. "Every event we do is the most important one, and to be recognized for doing something you love so passionately is truly a gift. The Grand Marnier event was challenging, exciting, and completely gratifying. Knowing we could win an award for this is...a dream!"
On January 28, 2011, the Gala Awards ceremony will take place and winners will be announced. We wish the best to all of the nominees.
