Emma moved from Louisiana to Orlando in 2010 with her sweet little girl, Ella, and decided it was time to sell her truck. Through a mutual friend, she met Sergio, who happened to be the perfect buyer. And the perfect guy, as it turned out. Over the next few months, they developed a friendship, and by April 2011, just one year after she'd moved to Florida, they were an official couple. It was a surprise to her family, who didn't expect her move to the Sunshine State to be permanent! Sergio and little Ella developed quite the bond, and before they knew it, baby Gabriel completed their sweet family. In 2013, they decided to go to DiveQuest with some of their friends to watch and record Sergio's dive. As they watched him swim up to the glass, he unrolled a sign that read "Let's Be Together Forever! I Love You!" Their friend handed Ella the ring
to give to her mom Emma who could only nod and give a thumbs up through the glass so Sergio would know she'd accepted his marriage proposal. The outdoors-loving couple selected an oceanfront wedding at Don Cesar, because of the calmness and serenity of the ocean. Because their family was already intact, it was important to them that their children play a role in the ceremony. As a family, they completed their sand ceremony together, with Ella guiding both her parent's vases into the single family vase. One of their friends even serenaded the entire family as little Gabriel boogied his cute little self on the dance floor! And even though they were all in St. Pete, and Emma's family traveled all the way from Louisiana, she couldn't give up her Southern traditions of the wedding monogram on their toasting flutes, and even the wedding cake charm pull with all of her closest single ladies! It was truly a fun evening for all of these families, as they celebrated the official creation of the Ryland Family! Congratulations, Emma, Sergio, Ella and Gabriel!
