Katia and Aaron were married in a
modern and elegant ceremony and reception at the Duncan McClellan Gallery in
St. Petersburg, FL! The Duncan McClellan Gallery is a gorgeous event
space featuring rotating exhibitions showcasing national and internationally
recognized glass artists. It has both indoor gallery spaces as well as outdoor
courtyards and lushly planted sculpture gardens. It was the perfect space
for a very unique ceremony and reception!
We met the newlyweds at the beginning of the day with a first look and family at a special space on Snell Isle in St. Petersburg. This location on Coffee Pot Rd. is a place that the bride and groom spend a lot of time relaxing and fishing and it is even where I met them for the first time to photograph their engagement session! We thought it was the perfect place for the couple to see each other for the first time and for us to photograph their formal pictures before their ceremony!
The highlights of this couple's wedding were the elements that featured the couple's love of art, craft beer, travel and ice cream! The bride's love for art was celebrated in the event venue. There was an amazing glass blowing demonstration by two of the gallery's artists during the reception. This was a very unique element to their wedding day and the guests truly enjoyed being educated and entertained by these artists as they made a beautiful piece for the bride and groom! The couple's family and friends helped feature the art theme by creating hand made 3-D flowers to help decorate the space! The groom has a passion for craft beer which was featured at the reception as the signature drink of the evening. Katia and Aaron both have a passion for travel and Aaron even proposed to Katia in Santorini, Greece cliffside at sunset! The theme of travel was present in many of the details including each table number as a significant place in their relationship and bookmarks with maps on them for the guests to write ideas for the bride and groom for future date night ideas or marriage advice. It was fun to see an ice cream bar as an alternative to a wedding cake and the guests truly enjoyed selecting the toppings for their dessert!
The newlyweds enjoyed their celebration with their friends and family and had the most beautiful wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hebeisen!
