I was fortunate to photograph a wedding gown designed by Vicky Aglogalou of Anglo Couture on location at the Intercontinental Tampa. The name of the dress is Elena and it's made with double silk habotai lining and double layers of silk chiffon. It is accented with french chantilly lace gathered on one side to create an asymmetrical look, featuring their signature "petal" train.
Vicky was born and raised in Athens Greece. Growing up in an artistic environment with her father being a sculptor, it just came natural to follow his path. Having a good eye for fashion, the decision to become a wedding dress designer was at about the age of 13 years old when she viewed a bridal Fashion Show. With a background in Fine Arts she attended Newbury College in Boston MA, choosing fashion design as her major. After graduating she gained hands on experience working as a designer for a bridal accessory company. She enjoyed every minute and fell in love even more with the industry.
Vicky's favorite part is working with the brides and being able to create different styles depending on each bride’s vision. "Everyone is so different, and every woman should be able to be and feel exactly who she wants to be on her special day. That is my true inspiration and that's how Anglo couture was born," says Vicky.
