The Tampa Film Institute, parent organization to the Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF), Academy Prep Center of Tampa, Glazer Children’s Museum and Junior Achievement were proud to announce the Florida Premiere of the feature film, Black, White and Blues. All proceeds went to benefit the four organizations.
Tampa-born producers Charlie Poe, Jeff Balis and actor/writer Morgan Simpson, along with Rhoades Rader (Dodgeball) coordinated with GIFF and three other not-for-profit organizations to debut the film in Tampa. Charlie Poe is an active board member of all four benefiting non-profits.
Black, White and Blues is opening at festivals across the country and getting rave reviews and festival awards. Director Mario Van Peebles leads a talented cast including Michael Clarke Duncan, Luke Perry, Tom Skerritt and newcomer Morgan Simpson.
