Carrie and Jason were married in a beautiful ceremony in downtown St. Petersburg at the seawall behind the Museum of History and celebrated in an elegant black tie reception at The Birchwood! This wonderful couple met in 2014 through a mutual friend and they instantly connected! Jason proposed 6 months and 1 day later at home on a romantic evening after cooking Carrie a home cooked meal and while sitting by the fire in their backyard. While Jason was asking Carrie to marry him there was a very rare ring around the moon that night which seems perfectly fitting for a proposal! This amazing couple warms my heart every time I am with them. Jason loves Carrie's beauty and strength as well as her wittiness, her drive and her nurturing nature. They both love that they can make each other laugh and Carrie loves that Jason accepts her for who she is and that he makes her feel safe and calm. She feels that she can rely on him and that he is her soulmate! The couple loves traveling together, spending time with their dogs, cooking, watching movies or hanging out by the pool. They live in St. Petersburg and love everything about the city so incorporating this was an important element to their wedding day! Jason works in the yachting industry so as a nod to that Jason and the groomsmen arrived by boat to the ceremony. It was a beautiful sight to watch the boat arrive and dock next to the wedding! The ceremony site also provided a beautiful view of the marina and the Vinoy in the background which are both staples of the downtown atmosphere. There were also many nautical details throughout the day and a beautiful tone of blue as an accent in honor of Jason. Carrie was simply stunning in her Pnina Tornai gown that she purchased at Kleinfeld's in New York City and her gorgeous Christian Louboutin shoes. I loved that her passion for all things gold and sparkle found it's way into many details, including her bridesmaid dresses and many reception details! The newlyweds celebrated with their friends and family at The Birchwood in the glamorous and modern ballroom. I am so happy that we were able to sneak off to the balcony for a few photos just as the sun was setting and we were treated to most beautiful sky! We ended the night by taking the bride and groom into Straub Park to photograph them near the banyan trees and under the blue twinkle lights strung from the trees! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Nash!
