Limelight Photography: Summer and Mark Featured in the Limelight | Treasury on the Plaza

Summer and Mark were married in a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine, Florida! This wonderful couple lives in Washington DC where they both work in the law field but they grew up together in Florida where their families still live! They wanted to have their wedding in a place that was close to their hearts and reminded them of how they met and where they grew up! The bride and groom met one another for the first time at the age of 13 when they both joined a junior golf academy at the Ponte Vedra Club. When they were young the groom and the brother of the bride were also best friends through childhood! It was so neat to see that they are still all such great friends today as the bride's brother was also the groom's best man! Summer and Mark chose the Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine for their wedding day! This is an amazing building and the couple loved the history of this beautiful space. Opened in 1927, the building served as the area's central bank for years and has now been remodeled to accommodate events in the present day. The bride and groom love the corinthian columns and marble floors as well as the vault space. The original bank vault is still in place and it now houses the event space bar. It is such a unique element to the room and it really brings a sense of history and nostalgia. I love that we were able to capture a few portraits that really highlighted that feature right before the end of the night. The bride and groom departed their special day to a field of sparklers and drove away in a gorgeous vintage white Jaguar and I was thrilled that we were able to photograph a few more night portraits with the car in front of the Casa Monica hotel and the water front and Bridge of Lions! It was sucha pleasure working with this amazing couple on their beautiful wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Badanowski!
